Project 1: Research Essay
For this assignment, we were to work in groups of four people, and prepare a research paper and a presentation with a word count of between 3000-5000. Each group was tasked with breaking down and analysing one of several given themes - in my case, my group studied how built environments affect the rates of obesity among secondary schoolchildren. We were required to analyse the issue, stressing the connections between our theoretical ideas and the chosen resources, using these concepts as the theoretical framework of each individual theme. The analysis of completed works would make up the bulk of our essay.
Project 2: Exploring Local Architecture Responses to Specific SDG Goals
For this assignment, we were required to create a single A3 page report on the features of a local building in Malaysia that responded to a particular SDG goal - between our group members, we were allowed to share the same building whilst studying it from the lens of different SDGs (i.e. we couldn't choose the same one). The report consisted of pictures and information compiled from site visits to the building as well as data compiled from other sources.
